What are the criteria for an organization to be considered for membership?

The AI Alliance is looking for member organizations invested in advancing the state of open source AI through open collaboration

Attractive member organizations generally meet the following criteria:

  • Alignment: Aligned with the AI Alliance's values and mission to cultivate safe and open science and innovation, demonstrated through open source contributions, open innovation, and open standards.

    • Organizations that apply should have executive support in place before submitted an application.

  • Commitment: Committed to providing resources to undertake significant projects aligned with the AI Alliance's mission.
    • Resources committed to the Alliance can be financial, skilled people, software, compute, and other resources.
  • Diversity: Contributing to the diversity of perspectives within the AI Alliance (geographic, organizational, societal impact).
  • Influence: Enhancing the Alliance's ability to influence and lead through its activities and reputation within the broader AI communities.
